My Last wedding on a Cornish Beach. We couldn't have been any more lucky with the weather. Not so Lucky with the Hair and Make-up Artist....
The day started hectic at the Harlyn Beach House. Unfortunately the Hair & Make up artist got ill and called early in the morning, that she couldn't come!! Very quickly, we had to organise someone else Mid-Season!!! Luckily we had Jen from Weddings made in Cornwall at hand who, with her incredible Network managed to organise the funniest and kindest Hair and makeup artist @abimurraymakeup. Cornish wedding vendors are the best!!! Everyone is helpful and in this rural county and everyone embodies "Community over competition". So we were super Lucky that Jen found Aby and the day was saved.
The only obstacle that left was the Royal Cornwall show - traffffffic. But it all worked out in the end. PHEW!
So off to church we all went. To the coolest Vicar "Ian" I have met. St Merry Church is a total recommend if you are planning on a beach / Church wedding, look no further!!
I have had so many Church weddings last year and this one this year… Halleluja, they know how to party and have fun! Everyone is about modern weddings bla bla bla, I get it, I am not religious either. BUT, don't underestimate the traditional ones. If you know, you know. Anyways... Party in full swing great caterer and impressive life band, who travelled all the way from London. It all ended with a beautiful fireworks over Harlyn bay. So many great memories and suddenly it is over. Or is it?
Luckily Olivia and George decided to hire a videographer to capture the day in movement. When I screen the footage, I am always relieved that they chose me to document these moments. Otherwise, everything would have been a blurry memory becoming more distant. No sleeky sales tactic! I am genuinely happy for all these moments on my camera. It makes this work meaningful. It is cool and fun to look back at your wedding, but more importantly: I know how much it will mean in years to come.
One other highlight of the bride, Olivia, was the boat bar, it just looked so cute next to the marquee and with a view over the ocean it was such an eye-catcher.
OLIVIA AND GEORGE // When we met on our first zoom-call I asked them why they wanted to get married. I always ask because I want to understand that I get couples for whom it is still a meaningful event or at least a mega party! The answer they gave, was exactly what I was searching for. In marriage, you commit to keeping growing even when times are hard. It takes a lot of effort and personal work to bring a relationship to the next level. To be open to going into depth. George and Olivia said they were ready to celebrate this and round it up with an incredible party on the Cornish coast. In true Olivia & Georges's - style, the guests were looked after by the best suppliers and everyone was made to feel cared for.

Meine letzte Hochzeit an einem Strand in Cornwall. Mit dem Wetter hätten wir nicht mehr Glück haben können. Dasselbe Glück hatten wir nicht mit Hair and Make-up ....
Der Tag begann hektisch im Harlyn Beach House. Leider wurde die Hair & Make up Artistin krank und rief früh morgens an, dass sie nicht kommen konnte!! Sehr schnell mussten wir jemand anderen Mid-Season organisieren!!! Zum Glück hatten wir Jen von Weddings made in Cornwall zur Hand, die es mit ihrem unglaublichen Netzwerk geschafft hat, die lustigste und netteste Haar- und Maskenbildnerin @abimurraymakeup zu organisieren. Die Hochzeitsanbieter in Cornwall sind die Besten!!! Jeder ist hilfsbereit und in diesem ländlichen Landkreis verkörpert jeder „Gemeinschaft vor Konkurrenz“. Wir hatten also großes Glück, dass Jen Aby gefunden hat und der Tag gerettet war.
Das einzige Hindernis, das übrig blieb, war die Royal Cornwall Show - Stauuuuu. Aber am Ende hat alles geklappt. PUH!
Also gingen wir alle in die Kirche. An den coolsten Pfarrer "Ian", den ich getroffen habe. St Merry Church ist absolut zu empfehlen, wenn ihr eine Hochzeit am Strand / in der Kirche plant, sucht nicht weiter! !
Ich hatte letztes Jahr so viele kirchliche Trauungen und diese in diesem Jahr… Halleluja, die wissen, wie man feiert und es krachen lässt! Alles dreht sich im Moment um moderne Hochzeiten bla bla bla, ich verstehe das, ich bin auch nicht religiös. ABER, unterschätzt nicht die traditionellen Hochzeiten. Wer's weiß der weiß's. Wie auch immer ... Party in vollem Gange, großartiger Caterer und beeindruckende Live-Band, die den ganzen Weg von London angereist sind. Alles endete mit einem wunderschönen Feuerwerk über der Bucht von Harlyn. So viele tolle Erinnerungen und plötzlich ist es vorbei. Oder ist es?
Glücklicherweise beschlossen Olivia und George, einen Videofilmer zu engagieren, um den Tag in Bewegung festzuhalten. Wenn ich das Filmmaterial vorführe, bin ich immer erleichtert, dass sie mich ausgewählt haben, um diese Momente zu dokumentieren. Sonst wäre alles nur noch eine verschwommene Erinnerung gewesen, die sich immer weiter entfernte. Keine glatte Verkaufstaktik! Ich bin wirklich glücklich über all diese Momente mit meiner Kamera. Das macht diese Arbeit so sinnvoll. Es ist cool und macht Spaß, auf Ihre Hochzeit zurückzublicken, aber noch wichtiger: Ich weiß, wie viel es in den kommenden Jahren bedeuten wird.
Ein weiteres Highlight der Braut, Olivia, war die Bootsbar, die neben dem Festzelt einfach so süß aussah und mit Blick aufs Meer ein echter Hingucker war.
